Shedd Aquarium

Did you know that in 1930, 20 railroad tank cars made eight round trips between Key West and Chicago to deliver 1 million gallons of seawater for Shedd's marine exhibits? Presque Isle State Park

Presque Isle is a day-use park that provides year-round recreational opportunities. Discover Presque Isle 2006 will be July 28-30. A large Arts and Craft Show, Duathalon, Volleyball Competitions, Mile Swim Competition, kayak rides, bonfires, pancake breakfasts and other festivities attract thousands of people to this annual Presque Isle State Park fund-raiser.

Wisconsin Maritime Museum

Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum offers visitors a unique place to spend hours learning about the sailors, shipbuilders and submariners who made that history, and to have some great family fun!

Great Lakes Ecosystems Information Node

The Great Lakes Information Node aims to be a gateway to biological information and data for the Great Lakes region. The data will be accessible to a variety of audiences including natural resource managers, researchers, educators, students, and other private citizens.

Minnesota Lake Superior Beach Monitoring Program

The goal of the program is to assure a safe and healthy aquatic environment by informing the public about risk from exposure to contaminated waters. The program collects samples from Lake Superior beaches and analyzes them for water-borne diseases and human health risks.
