33 nations plus the European Commission have committed
to move toward development of a comprehensive, coordinated, and
sustained Earth observation system. This initiative has affirmed the
need for timely, quality, long-term, global information as a basis
for sound management of the planet's resources.
Environment & Energy Conference|
Taking place May 26-27, 2005, in Toronto,
EECO is designed to promote dialogue, share ideas and innovation,
build new relationships, profile best practices, debate cross-border
environmental and clean energy policy, and support trade throughout
the Great Lakes states and provinces.
The 2005 Coastal GeoTools conference will be in
Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Mar. 7-10. The goals of the conference are to
promote the understanding and applied uses of geospatial data and
tools for studying and effectively managing the coast and to further
the goals of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
