2004 Wetlands Restoration Workshop Series

The Wisconsin Wetlands Association (WWA) invites participation from land owners, land managers, and anyone who has an interest in learning about the need for and process of restoring wetland habitats. These hands-on, field-based workshops are a great way to get your feet wet this summer while learning how you can restore wetlands on your own property.

New beach Information from U.S. EPA

This new thematic web site offers resources to help you plan a trip to the beach, learn about beach conditions, and learn what U.S. EPA is doing to clean and protect beaches. Related topic-based sites for water quality standards, cruise ship water discharges, floating debris, private drinking wells, and septic systems are under development.

Asian Carp video: Preventing a Hostile Takeover

This short program advocates the building of an electrical barrier in the canal between the Mississippi River basin and the Great Lakes, with the purpose of preventing the introduction of Asian Carp into the Great Lakes environment.

National Conference on Ecosystem Restoration

This First National Conference on Ecosystem Restoration (NCER) will enable national and international information exchange on many issues involved in landscape-scale ecosystem restoration.

St. Lawrence Centre

The SLC is involved in a multitude of studies and research programs aimed at better understanding how the ecosystems of the St. Lawrence River function and to keep this knowledge up to date.
