GLIN==> Center for Great Lakes Environmental Education Appoints Executive Director

Natalie Bulera has joined the Center for Great Lakes Environmental Education (CGLEE) as its new executive director. In an appointment effective immediately, Ms. Bulera will take on responsibility for achieving the Center's mission to facilitate educational opportunities for Great Lakes students and teachers.

“We are very excited,” said James Loesch, President of the Buffalo-based Center. “Ms. Bulera's appointment marks continuing progress under CGLEE's business plan. With a full-time executive director, we will be able to devote more time and resources toward building our network and services.”

A Registered Environmental Scientist, Ms. Bulera brings a strong background in grant writing, as well as administration, development and implementation of public education programs. With an extensive career background in environmental protection, Ms. Bulera comes to CGLEE from Erie County, PA, as Erie County Recycling Coordinator in the Department of Planning.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of continuing to build the Center for Great Lakes Environmental Education,” commented Ms. Bulera. “And I am excited at the prospect of serving the Western New York community and environment while becoming part of the wide network of people dedicated to preserving our Great Lakes resource.”

The Center for Great Lakes Environmental Education leads awareness of and access to information about Great Lakes environmental subjects by promoting learning links for teachers, students and other stakeholders in the international Great Lakes-St. Lawrence basin ecosystem.

The Center is a 501c(3) not-for-profit corporation. It is located in the field station of Buffalo State College's Great Lakes Center at 7 Porter Avenue, Buffalo, New York.
