BEACHNET==> GLBA Board Election Reminder and Voting Rules

This is a reminder to cast your votes
for four candidates for the GLBA Board.  Voting will close
on March 1st, 2009.  

Voting rules -  1)
BEACHNET is the communication listserv for the Great Lakes Beach Association
(GLBA) members, so if you were on the BEACHNET listserv as of January 14th,
2009 (the day the first notification was sent out regarding the election),
you are eligible to vote.  
2) You may only vote once, but please
remember that there are FOUR positions available so vote for FOUR candidates.
 This does not mean you can cast four votes for one candidate, since
one candidate cannot hold four positions.

I hope this clarifies any questions
you may have regarding this election.

Polling for the Great Lakes Beach Association
Elected Board is now open.  There are eleven great candidates standing
to fill four positions on the board.  Each of the candidates
submitted a brief biography and explanation on why they would like to be
on the GLBA board.  You can find their biographies on the GLBA website
http://glin.net/glba/elections09.html.

click on "About Us", then click on "2009 Board Elections".
   Once you have decided who you are voting for, send an email
to kfrohnapple@usgs.gov with the words "My Vote" in the subject
line.  Remember to vote for 4 candidates.  All votes will
be kept confidential and tallied by an independent party.
