Re: BEACHNET==> Lake/Stream Currents
The Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab is one group that has been
looking at this:
http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/
Does anyone have experience or
suggestions for evaluating the role that lake currents play in
transporting contaminants towards beach areas? I'm especially interested
on evaluating currents from streams that discharge near beaches? I'm
thinking about using tracers of some sort in the streams to determine how
stream flow interacts with lake currents along shore. Information on
methods (especially low cost ones) would be appreciated.
