BEACHNET==> patron fecal accident @ beach

Thanks to all for your responses to my previous note. In haste to get the
note out before my holiday break, I obviously didn't provide enough details
as to what I was asking about. Sorry if I wasn't clear and for spamming
you all again.

What I was actually inquiring about was any public health policies or
procedures that have been implemented to prevent or minimize potential
pathogen exposure to patrons at a beach after a patron has defecated into
the beach water. This has been addressed extensively for swimming pools
and we just wanted to briefly survey everyone to find out what is being
done in other jurisdictions at beaches, if anything.

Thanks again for your patience and Happy New Year.

Hello,

Not sure if this has been addressed before in this forum...

Realizing that a comprehensive approach based on science is a near
impossibility because of all of the variables, can anyone provide any
examples of what is being done in their jurisdictions?

Thanks ahead of time and Happy Holidays!

Eric
