FYI

http://www.beachnet.info/ is a potentially
great forum for exchange of ideas among beach managers, users and scientists.
 Check it out if you haven't before.  Please use the forum, web
calendar liberally.  Below are instructions on how to start a new
subject, question or discussion thread.  I would like beachnet listserve
to eventually be used for announcement, information exchange and business
while the www.beachnet.info used more for forums, questions and discussions.

Hi, all--

I'm sorry for any confusion with the BeachNet forums. I think I've misunderstood
and thought you were trying to create new forums.

Posting a new thread is very simple--all you need to do is "post"
a new message ("post" is the second link of the options toward
the top on the right). No admin access required! Any registered user can
do this.

All new messages posted to forums are treated as new "threads."
Posting a reply to any thread automatically adds a plus next to the thread
that you can expand/collapse to show nested messages.

Hope that helps! I can definitely send you info on the admin interface
to help organize threads (this is for deleting, moving, or renaming threads
that users have created). But you really don't need any special access
to start new threads.
