RE: BEACHNET==> ent survival in marine water

Here's a good reference from SCCWRP based on lab tests that included southern California marine water, freshwater, and wastewater influent and effluent.

In their tests, using high and low solar radiation, it took 8-9 hours to reduce enterococci concentrations by 90%.

Hope this helps,
Dustin

Subject: BEACHNET==> ent survival in marine water

kind of a basic question - does anyone know the estimate for how many hours or days entero can survive in marine water? (not in sediment, or zooplankton, or
algae, or seaweed)

Thanks
