Thought some people would be interested
in our modeling activity at Fair Haven State Park in cooperation with Karen
Terbush and Kristen Strassner from NY State Parks, and Gary Wall, USGS
Water Division, NY.  The website briefly summarizes the projects and
highlights installation of a Acoustic Doppler Profiler that measures the
velocity, direction of currents in shallow water and wave characteristics.
 Related Great Lakes USGS beach activities are also highlighted at
this website.
