GLBA new leadership

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Sheridan
Haack has been elected as the new president/chairperson of Great Lakes
Beach Association.   She has accepted the two year term.  I join
with Shannon in a warm welcome to Sheridan and the board along with the
ex-presidents are committed to helping make her tenure a successful one.
 We are fortunate to have a president that comes with as much leadership
experience and skills as Sheridan.  Under her leadership we will re-organize
the board and develop stronger organizational infrastructure.

We thanks Crisley Handly for gathering
the votes secretly.  She has reported the outcome to both Shannon
and me.  We were very lucking to have three very well qualified candidates,
all of wish got substantial votes reflecting in large part their capabilities.
 With Dr. Kintzelman and Kleinheinz we had a total of three outstanding
candidates would have made a good chairperson. Several national level scientists
wrote in to that effect.   Announcing the results of this election
is one of my final duties as a GLBA board member but I will continue to
support the organization has the members see fit.
