Call for abstracts due 7/22/05 for Great Lakes Beach Conference in November

Please see attached pdf file for the announcement.  This will be a joint conference with the Great Lakes Beach Association and the Lake Michigan: State of the Lake 2005.

Please send abstracts for posters to quallst@uwgb.edu by 7/22/05.

Posters will be set up during the entire conference and the poster session will be Wednesday evening, November 2.

Posters on beach health research from Canadian and U.S. Great Lakes jurisdictions are encouraged.  Graduate students are especially encouraged to participate in the poster session.  Posters representing original research may be submitted for any aspect of beach health but the following topics are especially encouraged:
·			source tracking of pathogens
·	nonpoint sources of pathogens
·	rapid testing
·	predictive modeling and efficacy evaluation
·	modeling
·	visitor communication, inter- and intra-state communication
·	progress reporting
·	swimming health effects
·	policy development
