Job: Beach Research Technician



The Lake Michigan Ecological Research Station, United States Geological
Survey is looking for a technician that can help with ongoing beach
research on various projects in the Lake Michigan area.  The position will
be contracted through the Student Conservation Association.  The position
is located in Porter, Indiana.  The duration of the position is for 6 month
but can be extended to 12 months.  A bachelor’s degree in aquatic biology,
limnology, or microbiology or equivalent is desirable.  At least one course
in statistics and three courses in chemistry is required.  The candidate
should be in excellent physical condition; fast paced beach monitoring
(walking and wading), laboratory work and data analysis should be
