The Beach Currents Newsletter is now online at:

please take a look at our first newsletter and pass this information on
to Beach Managers or other interested people.

We mailed out paper copies last week.  There are plenty of extra copies
so if you would like more, please let me know and I will send them.

Many thanks to folks in Maine, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin for
submitting articles about various aspects of their beach programs.  We
look forward to hearing about programs in other states!

Any feedback on the newsletter will be appreciated.

Also, let's start thinking about a theme for the next newsletter.  I
think that spring would be a good time for the next issue to come out,
just before the" beach season".    It isn't too soon to start submitting
articles or information for the Calendar of Events!  Tell us about
something that happenned last summer and how you handled it!

Here are some theme ideas:

   other recreational uses of water (surfing, boating, water skiing) and
   health considerations
   health considerations with diving
   more success stories, program ideas that have worked
   focus on the islands?
   focus on west coast?
   focus on the east coast?
