Need help and citations

Meredith Nevers and I are writing a chapter on recreational beach
monitoring of Lake Michigan. It will be included in a book titled, "Lake
Michigan Ecosystem: Ecology, Health, and Management" edited by Edsall and
Munawar. I am somewhat familar with a lot of coliform monitoring
activities of Lake Michigan beaches but I don't want to leave any
particular studies out. Could you forward a brief description of research
you'd like me to consider for citation in the chapter along with an
appropriate citation. I want to know about any research that relates to
recreational water quality and am particularly interested in
1) source tracking and determination
2) predictive modeling
3) studies of distribution and occurrence
4) efficacy studies
5) comparitive bacterial studies (e.g. fecal coliforms vs. enterococcus vs.
E. coli)
6) animal vs. human
7) pathogen studies and epidemiology

A few sentences or whatever you feel like contributing would be great. We
have the chapter about 3/4 done, but we can make it a good review of what's
happening around the Lake. This is also a good opportunity to share your
activities with other members of the beach association.

If you want to share it with the association merely return the message to
beachnet@great-lakes.net, otherwise you can write me directly at
